Strengthening the System Behind Trusted Research
Provar has reached an important milestone in its continued evolution as a leading provider of independent research and evaluation services to the deciduous fruit industry.
As the organisation enters a new phase of growth and structural maturity, our newly appointed CEO, Tristan Dorfling, has completed a comprehensive governance and organisational framework titled “Provar as a System: Governance Philosophy and Structural Logic.” This work establishes the foundation for Provar’s next chapter of sustainable growth and long-term organisational resilience.
The framework provides a clear vision for strengthening the systems, governance and organisational capabilities that will support Provar well into the future.
Since its establishment, Provar has earned the trust of industry through scientific excellence, technical expertise and a commitment to independent, credible research. As demand for our services continues to grow, Provar is also expanding its digital capabilities through the new Pro-Hort Dashboard, Culteva™ and its research partnerships. Supporting this growth requires more than additional capacity; it also requires clear systems, roles and decision-making structures.
Our purpose remains unchanged:
To deliver independent, credible, high-quality research and evaluation for the deciduous fruit industry.
The new governance philosophy reflects a commitment to ensuring that Provar continues to deliver on this purpose through stronger organisational systems, clearer decision-making, enhanced collaboration and continuous organisational learning.
For our clients and industry partners, this means continued investment in:
- Scientific rigour and independent research.
- Strong governance and transparent decision-making.
- Improved coordination across research programmes and services.
- Sustainable growth that strengthens long-term delivery capability.
- Ongoing innovation through digital technologies and data-driven research.
Rather than measuring success only through growth in projects or revenue, Provar is committed to building an organisation that becomes more resilient, efficient and capable as it grows. By strengthening institutional knowledge, refining governance structures and investing in long-term organisational capability, we are positioning Provar to remain a trusted research partner for many years to come.
This work represents an important step in strengthening the systems that will support Provar’s continued growth. We look forward to serve the deciduous fruit industry with the same scientific integrity and independence that have defined our organisation, while building an even stronger foundation for future innovation and collaboration.
We congratulate Tristan on the first part of his journey as the new CEO of Provar.
Thank you to our clients, industry partners and stakeholders for your continued confidence and support. We look forward to shaping the future of horticultural research together.
